Yes in Disguise
Trading Card Collection, 2016

Yes in Disguise is a limited edition of trading cards made from the publicly available dating profile data of men who have made misogynistic statements online.
OkCupid is a dating website that holds a great deal of information about heterosexual male users and their views on women and sexual consent. All that’s required to access this data is a free profile, which anyone can easily create. When completing a profile, users are asked to answer multiple-choice questions on personal preferences, identity, and sexual proclivities. When asked about consent, some choose the answer: "A no is really a yes in disguise."
In response, we repurposed data points such as these to produce a limited edition of trading cards that dissolves the illusion of privacy and gives weight to sexism expressed online.
